Leadership is about how parents learn about parenting
Look, they both are caring each other very much. Hope that they can maintain this type of nurturing when they both are grown up.
Parenting is one of the important courses that all parents must not miss it.
Buddha said “parents are the primary teachers of all students”. With this regard, how many Cambodian parents are aware they are the primary teachers, they are aware that they must raise their children like teacher and student? Talking about teachers, they must possess teaching pedagogy. Has any school in Cambodia run a program called “parenting pedagogy”? I do hope that all Cambodian parents must be properly trained in “Parenting Ability”.
Parenting starts with its two principles: using discipline and avoiding the use of punishment such as yelling at, scolding, spanking, wiping or beating etc. in raising children. Discipline approaches are started by having parents are playing role model for them, having parents use the method of few warnings first before timing out, having parents praise and encourage them more than blaming or criticizing them, having parents playing with them diligently through “learning by playing”, having parents that listen to children longer and more often than forcing children to listen to them, and having parents engage with them in solving the problems rather than pushing them to handle problems alone etc.
Parenting courses have been endorsed by many civilized countries. In Canada, the government spent a lot money to operate parents-children policy. They open Family and Children Service Offices at every commune and section of the municipality. Schooling cannot happen only at the kindergarten or primary school. Schooling means parents must possess sufficient tool to lead by role model to children and understand how to raise children in a proper way. Schooling means free time at home, children can watch their favorite cartoons on TV channel that encourage children to work in a team, to be bravery, to solve basic problems, to love themselves, friends and neighbors, to nurture birds and nature, to love reading, to conduct physical exercising and be aware in hygiene etc.
When parents are equipped by parenting leadership, children are also equipped by younger generation leadership. The word of Lord Buddha on “Parents are the former or primary teachers” are truly practicing in modern world and all parents must follow the teaching by developing themselves on the pedagogical parenting.

Youths and the politics in Cambodia
Youths have been worldwide recognized as the young shoot of the bamboo. Youths are the strongest force in society to shape, change and improve society in which they are residing with. Cambodia at the present has been outstandingly emerging youth bulk in which under age of 25 years old is representing majority of Cambodia’s 14 millions population. Those youths are actively working to sustain their family economy. Their bulks are crowding at the garment factories, migrations to work outside Cambodia, educational institutes and rice paddies.
Unfortunately, Cambodian youths are likely not crowding at the political rally or actively participate with the politics. This shortfall possibly stems from two factors: the freedom of expression in Cambodia has been curtained by the political monopoly of the ruling party and the embedded tradition of youth’s parents on the scary repercussion if one actively participated with the politics.
After googling about Cambodian youths and their participation with the politics, I found these three phenomenon extremely speak something differently from that traditional thought.
1. Watching video clip on “Next Generation Program or កម្មវិធីអ្នកបន្តវេន”, many speakers spoke proudly on the collective effort to tackle lingering issues challenging Cambodia such as life improvement, justice, human rights, equity, democracy and political participation etc. The program is sponsored by USAID, and the last 10th episode was voted by SMS by the audience, the winners are represented by those four selected candidates. Remarkably, Mr. Hing Soksan, a youth from Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) won landslide of the 1105 votes in total.
From this result, I wish to compare it with the release of poll survey conducted by the International Republican Institute (IRI) on January-February 2013 in which the Ruling Party or Cambodian People Party (CPP) and opposition party or Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) each has their own interpretation on the result of the poll. Note that, in Cambodia we have never had independent poll on the popularity of each rival political party in each national election. For other countries, polls have played important role on the change of vote popularity and it could predict the winner efficiently. Hence, the sampling strategy is in the state of error, and the survey result has likely been skewed by: one-sided or dominant mass media controlled by the ruling party, respondents’past trauma, scary mindset of the people in involving with the political affair, and the level of education etc. Cambodian people have been traumatized by the killing field, foreign occupation, civil war and intractable injustice of the court system in this country. Each Cambodian is hardly disclosing their favor or disfavor towards political parties or political figures.

១. នៅពេលដែលវៀតណាមបានទទួលការគាំទ្រយ៉ាងពេញទំហឹងពីចិននិងសហភាពសូវៀត ហើយក្រុមខ្មែរក្រហមគ្រាន់តែជាតួអង្គតូចមួយដូចជាឡាវដែរនោះ មានន័យថាវៀតណាម អាចធ្វើកិច្ចការគ្រប់បែបយ៉ាងបំពេញមហិច្ឆតារបស់ខ្លួន។ វៀតណាមអាចបង្កប់ភ្នាក់ងារឬកង កំឡាំងប្រដាប់អាវុធរបស់ខ្លួនក្នុងជួរកម្មាភិបាលខ្មែរក្រហម។ វៀតណាមអាចដាក់សំពាធគ្រប់ បែបយ៉ាងមកលើក្រុមមេដឹកនាំខ្មែរក្រហមទាំងផ្នែកភស្តុភារ អាវុធគ្រប់ធុន គោលនយោបាយ ទាំងការគ្រប់គ្រងដោយត្រង់ និងដោយប្រយោល។
២. ប្រការដែលខ្មែរក្រហមអាចវាយរំដោះទីក្រុងភ្នំពេញមុនទីក្រុងព្រៃនគរចំនួន១៣ថ្ងៃ គឺជាការ តាំងចិត្តមុតមាំរបស់ប៉ុលពតក្រោមការជួយគាំទ្រផ្នែកប្រជាប្រីយនយោបាយរបស់សម្តេច សីហនុ។ ចំណុចនេះ មេដឹកនាំខ្មែរក្រហមភ័យស្លន់ស្លោថា បើមិនបានរំដោះមុនទេ វៀតណាមនឹងឈ្លានពានកម្ពុជាបន្តាប់ពីគេរំដោះបានព្រៃនគរហើយ។ តែតាមពិតទៅ កងទ័ពវៀតណាមបានចូល មករស់នៅប្រទេសកម្ពុជានិងប្រើប្រាស់ទឹកដីកម្ពុជាតាំង ពីពេលដែលផ្លូវលំហូជីមិញត្រូវបាន គេអនុញ្ញាត។
៣. យើងទទួលស្គាល់គ្រប់គ្នាដែរថា កងទ័ពវៀតណាមចូលឈ្លានពានកម្ពុជានិងវាយលុក បណ្តេញពួកខ្មែរក្រហមបានយ៉ាងស្រួលឬអាចនិយាយបានថាវៀតណាមបានសំរេចនូវ យុទ្ធសាស្រ្តគ្រប់យ៉ាងរបស់ខ្លួនរួចទៅហើយ។ ជាទ្រឹស្តីនយោបាយ វៀតណាមត្រូវតែរៀបចំ រចនាសម្ព័ន្ធនយោបាយ អោយមានរដ្ឋាភិបាលខ្មែរដឹកនាំខ្មែរ។
៤. អ្វីដែលប្រជាជនខ្ន្មែរកត់សំគាល់មុនពេលវៀតណាមវាយលុកចូល គឺម្នាក់ៗអស់សង្ឃឹម ក្នុងជីវិតរួចទៅហើយ ទាំងការស្លាប់ស្រស់ៗនៅចំពោះមុខ ទាំងការបំភ័យដោយមានអន្លង់ ជាត់ទឹកបាយត្រូវបានគេជីកនៅគ្រប់ភូមិជាដើម។ យុទ្ធជនខ្មែរក្រហមបានប្រមូលសម្បតិ ជាតិមានមាសពេជ្រកែវកងនិងរបស់មានតំលៃគ្រប់យ៉ាង គរទុកមួយដុំៗយ៉ាងល្អសំរាប់វៀត ណាមដឹកទៅប្រទេសគេយ៉ាងងាយស្រួល។ មានមតិខ្លះនិយាយថា ឯកសារនៅគុកទួលស្លែង ត្រូវបានគេកែច្នៃនិងផ្លាស់ប្តូរអស់ តែមជ្ឈមណ្ឌលកម្ពុជាអាចនឹងមានចំឡើយល្អជាងនេះ។
ជាការសោកស្តាយ ដែលមេដឹកនាំសំខាន់ៗដូចជានួន ជា ខៀវសំផន អៀងសារី ជាដើម ដែល តែងតែមិនហ៊ានទទួលខុសត្រូវនូវចំពោះមុខតុលាការខ្មែរក្រហម។ នេះអាចជាការ ដោះសារយក លេសរួចខ្លួនឬអាចជាការពិតដែលពួកគេមើលមិនឃើញនៅពេល ដែលមានអំណាចយ៉ាងធូររលុងនៅក្នុងដៃ។
ក្នុងនាមកូនខ្មែរ យើងអាចសន្និដ្ឋានបានថា ទាំងអាមេរិក ទាំងចិន ទាំងរុស៊្សី សុទ្ធតែជាប់ ពាក់ព័ន្ធ នឹងរឿងល្ខោនវាលពិឃាតនៅកម្ពុជាទាំងអស់ ប៉ុន្តែវៀតណាមបានលូកដៃចូល យ៉ាងជ្រៅជាងគេបង្អស់ ហើយវត្តមានកងទ័រវៀតណាមនៅកម្ពុជារាប់សែននាក់ អស់រយះពេលជិត១០ឆ្នាំ និងកេរតំណែលរបស់វៀតណាមនៅកម្ពុជាតាមរយះ គណបក្សប្រជាជនកម្ពុជាសព្វថ្ងៃ គឺជារឿងអាម៉ាស់មួយសំរាប់ទាំងកម្ពុជានិងវៀតណាម សំរាប់ការវិវត្តន៍នយោបាយពិភពលោកនាយុគបច្ចុប្បន្ន។
